MY JOB
As a Creative Services Co-op for the Boston Beer Company, I worked externally creating point of sale (POS) projects with sales representatives and vendors. I also worked internally across departments, honing my skills in logo design.
My co-op took place as a 6-month full-time position from January to June, 2024. It was extended an additional month in July to help onboard incoming Creative Co-ops.

Based in Milton, Delaware, Dogfish Head has an off-centered, playful approach to design. I collaborated remotely with the creative team to create POS reflecting that brand.

During my co-op, Dogfish Head also began a rebranding process, and I quickly adapted to new brand standards.

TAPS LOGO

MY JOB: Create a logo for a time and attendance portal system, or TAPS, used by the company.
SKETCHES
In order to incorporate elements of beer and time together, I initially focused on time and expanded my ideas to dozens of sketches and concepts.

I begin the logo process in monochrome to focus on the form and structure of the design.

When the sketching process was complete, I presented my ideas to the client, and we honed everything down to two main concepts.

FINAL ITERATIONS
I focused on two focal ideas, and the client and I decided to move forward with one of the two that incorporates a clock.

I changed the iteration of the design to make the most of the space, and ultimately ended finishing the logo off with an illustration of a tap handle to connect back to the beer industry.

MY JOB: Create the face of an internal annual competition, named after the hockey championship.
My last and most ambitious internal logo for The Boston Beer Company, I stayed in constant communication with the internal client and changed direction based on their feedback.

For 2024's Steinly Cup, the company is taking a trip to Las Vegas, Nevada and wanted to represent this with a Vegas-themed design.

‍Originally, however, the umbrella event overarching the Steinly Cup event had a spy theme to it, so I began my process aligned to this spy theme. This eventually changed as the client preferred to stick with only Vegas elements.
Steinly Cup logo designs
BEGINNING SKETCHES
The original concept was a spy-themed project. I drew inspiration from the contrast behind the video game design of Persona 5.

I began sketching with the spy theme in mind, playing with typography and form while learning the anatomy of a stein.

I explored different typefaces and began creating the form of the stein.
VEGAS VENTURES
I met with the client, who presented the previous year's logo as well as more Vegas-leaning inspiration.

I began to incorporate Vegas elements into my spy-themed logo by playing with typography and illustrating a fedora.

These were the concepts I presented to the client, combining both themes.

The client (Colleen) wanted to expand on the Vegas theme rather than the spy theme. I gathered inspiration from the playfulness and bright colors associated with the city.
GOING STEIN-LESS
I continued to experiment with typography and Vegas elements, and replaced the fedora illustration with Elvis's iconic hairstyle.

I honed in on a typeface that best represented my creative vision for the logo and developed a smaller logo without the stein ("Stein-less").

I then experimented with line and form to fill the empty space at the bottom of the stein.

I finalized forms of the logo in black and white before adding color.
FINALIZING AND ADDING COLOR
To color the logo, I took colors from The Boston Beer Company brand's  color palette.

I then added color to the stein logo and began to play with multiple variations of the design.

Included are other variations of the logo in different colors, including a design utilizing a gradient of color.

The final variations of the logo are formatted for both light and dark settings as well as with and without the Stein.

MY JOB:
Create a simple, fun bomber jacket design for internal sales representatives.
Mood Board
I created mood boards with the Twisted Tea creative team in Miro and FigJam. With inspiration from video games that are just as bold and playful as the Twisted Tea brand, I added a personal flair to my designs for this project.
Mood Board
I began sketching in Procreate and carried the final designs over to a mockup in Adobe Photoshop.
